Points for being able to realize what was going on, and more points for admitting it. I was in Afghanistan when I was double checking a new mechanics work on a HMMWV and found that he put the rear brake pads on backwards. Worked a little overtime that night correcting it.

We've all been there. I once spent a good two hours reassembling an intake manifold, bolting it on, putting the fuel rail and wiring all back on and buttoning everything else up before looking back behind me and realizing I accidentally put one of the old spark plugs back instead of all the new ones.
